~Dry, Itchy Skin~

With the cold weather, and dry heat, my skin is starting to turn to leather...any remedies out there? We've had our heat on for the past two months now (well, off and on during September), and the dry heat is just really getting to my skin. Even my eyelids itch!!!

I'm going to plug in my humidifier and see if that helps matters. Any remedies for me?

~Sock Progress~

Well, my goal for having my pair of socks finished today didn't happen. But that's ok. I'm happy with the progress I've made!

I love how the stripes have matched up perfectly. With stripes so obvious, I really wanted the socks to match!

~Hello~

Just a few odds and ends...

Trixie posted a recipe for the recipe swap, and I just now added it to my soup links. Scroll down for the link. It sounds delicious!

~~~~~~~~~~
I enjoyed reading all the answers for my question post. The question was: "What is it that makes a blog, any blog, interesting to you?"
My answers are similar to many given: I enjoy reading about every day life, pictures of crafts, and pictures with posts. I like to see a variety in blogs, and I greatly dislike a negative tone that is present post after post! I just enjoy "meeting" ladies through their blogs, and getting a glimpse into their lives!
~~~~~~~~~~

I've been knitting like crazy tonight, and last night too. I joined a sock knitting group called Socktoberfest, and I want to get my socks finished! I'm on the heel of the second sock, so good progress is being made! I haven't even begun to look at all the sock pictures posted. There are just so many pictures! So much inspiration for sock knitters! So let's see...I have two more days to get my sock finished. I think it can be done!

~~~~~~~~~~
This week, our church is having revival meetings. I'm looking forward to God speaking to my heart through the preaching and music.
~~~~~~~~~~

Have a great week!

~Painting Complete...for now!~

We are finished painting the living room and dining room (minus the trim, of course). We chose the color on the right (post below), and I'm very happy with it. The color we had painted before (I mistakenly called it "Golden"--it's "Blonde") had quite a yellow glow to it, whereas the paint we chose does not. The intensity is the same, but there is not the yellow undertone to it. I'm quite happy with it.

Is there a difference in the pictures? Hmmm...with the flash, and computer monitors, there probably isn't much of a difference. However, there's a huge difference to me!

I was asked how we went about choosing the colors. First of all, my kitchen was painted in a creamy butter yellow. Since the kitchen is open to the dining room, I had to choose a color that would work with the kitchen's already painted walls. If the kitchen was closed off, I wouldn't have been as concerned with making sure the paint colors went with the kitchen.

My office manager does a lot of the selections for the interiors, and she is the one who helped me figure out what colors would work best. We used the paint chip from the kitchen (left), picked out a suitable green, and then a neutral color for the living room. The paint chip on the right is the one which has the final living room paint on it, the one right next to it is the one which has the original paint on it. You can see that the one has quite a yellow undertone to it.

And...ahhhh...it's nice to see my floor again! I haven't seen it for over a week!

~Blog Reading~

For those of you who think I may have stopped reading your blog...I'm still reading on...I've been busy, and my home computer will not load the Blogger Beta comment box for me. I know, sounds weird, but it's true!

I'm thinking...next year...2007...things will maybe slow down for me? I did say that with a question mark! In the meantime, I'm still enjoying many delightful blogs! Blessings to all!

~Tiny Pears~

I love cute things. Therefore, when I saw these pears in the grocery store, I couldn't resist them. They were reasonably priced, and they taste good too!

~Choosing a Color~

I have decided to get a different paint. The paint in the living room just didn't "grow" on me at all. If I would have followed my office manager's advice, and gotten paint samples in the first place, I wouldn't have a whole room painted in a paint I can't stand!!!

The paint colors I'm using are Sherwin Williams. I've mentioned that I work in an architect's office. There are many samples around the office, and those samples include paint books. So after thumbing through paint colors today, my office manager recommended two more colors, ones that don't have quite so much yellow undertones in them.

Sherewin Williams sells paint samples by the quart. The store I got them for charged $4.99. It isn't a good quality paint, just something to test with. Here you can see the two different colors, painted on the very gold (appropriately named "Golden") paint.

I'm thinking of going with the one on the left, although I do like the one on the right as well. The flash really does wash out the intensity of the gold color.

~Paint, paint, paint~

I am still trying to decide if I like the golden paint. Is it yellow, gold, mustard, or a combination of all three? I like it from different angles. What's funny is that I was afraid I wouldn't like the green. I love the green! My husband tells me I'll like the, um, other color (I don't know what to call it???)

This is even funnier: Whenever we paint, or work on a room, we discover that the room was previously green (a very ugly color of green!). For instance: the insides of the cabinets, the kitchen, the bathroom, the hallway going down to the basement, the sewing room, the living room, the dining room. Seriously, everything was painted the same shade of green (even the trim). Think 1950's green. They must have gotten a great deal on green paint!. I've been astonished that someone would paint everything green. And then it dawned on me...I was painting the dining room green. I imagine the homeowners who painted everything green would really like the dining room! LOL

Anyhow, we have one more coat of paint in each room. We'll do that on Saturday. After that: refinish the floor, prime and paint the trim, and install the trim. We have a lot of work done, a lot more to go!

~Question of the Day~

I know this subject has been brought up before, on my blog, and on other blogs I visit, but what is it that motivates you to read a blog? I'm not fishing around for compliments here, as in: why do you read my blog? What is it that makes a blog, any blog, interesting to you?

~The Refrigerator Meme~

My friend, Mrs. B, tagged me for the refrigerator meme that is floating about the blogosphere.

Here's my fridge just like it was last night. The only thing I did to it before posting this pic was to Photoshop a phone number and two magnets off of it that I forgot to take off before I took the picture. =)

I'll take the easy way out and say that if you'd like to do this, consider yourself tagged! It's easy: just take a picture of your refrigerator, without changing anything before you do so. (And hey--aren't you glad that this meme is of the outside of the fridge? The inside of mine isn't quite picture worthy right now.)

~Merry Christmas!~

It's two months 'til Christmas! =)

GiBee over at Kisses of Sunshine has a remarkable post on homemade gifts and gift ideas, with links to other blogs as well. Hop on over for a look! Maybe you'll get some ideas for your Christmas presents this year! Many of the ideas are great for those who aren't necessarily crafty (or for those who don't have the time to make every single gift!)

This year has surely sped by, has it not? At least it has for me!

Last night Kevin and I painted...and painted...and painted! We got the whole living room and dining room primed. So next time we paint (Thursday) we'll be painting the ceiling (oh, what fun! ;-) ). It's coming along!

It's cold here! Freezing cold. Brrrrr...it's cold out! Oh, did I mention it's cold? *Grin* It's been a cold, cold October! I still need to get out and take out my garden, and get bulbs planted. For those of you living in warmer climates, can you send some sunshine my way? *Smiles*

Have a great day!

~Recipe Swap: Simmering Soups~

Here for your cooking pleasure are the recipes submitted for the Recipe Swap. Not only are there many warm, comforting soups, but a lot of healthy recipes popped up this time (unlike the cookie exchange! LOL).

Anita, the "wonder cook" shares a recipe for Beef and Veggie Soup.

Jenn posted not one, but four recipes here. One is very intriguing to me: Warming Immune Soup. It sounds like it would be great to ward off winter bugs! The other three, Greek Avgolemono Soup, Chicken and Salsa Soup, and Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana sound oh, so delicious!

Brocoli soup is always good, and Mrs. B listed the ingredients and instructions on making it. Mmmm...

Susan cooks up a hearty batch of Potato Minestrone Soup, made in a crock pot. I just love cooking soup in a crock pot!

Another crock pot recipe! "Not that Martha" posted a recipe for Crockpot Potato Soup. Potato soup is one of my favorites!

A soup that sounds a little different...Pumpkin Black Bean Soup served up by Mrs. U. I can imagine that this has a very "full" flavor! I'm going to give this one a try!

Not only did Jodi post a recip for soup (New England Clam Chowder), she included a recipe and detailed instructions for cheese biscuits. Mrs. B gives them rave reviews here.

Lora has a recipe for White Bean With Smoked Turkey soup...sounds great!

Finally, Deb dishes out a pot of Black Bean Chowder. Sounds delicious!

Edited to add: Trixie posted a recipe for Brocoli-Cheese Soup. My mouth is watering just looking at the recipe!

*Sheepish grin*...not only did your hostess forget about hostessing...she never got around to posting her own recipe! Therefore, I'll point you to a recipe I posted a ways back, for Mike's Grandma's Chili. Nope, no relation to Mike or his grandma, but his grandma sure cooks up a good pot of chili! ;-)

All these recipes just sound so, so delicious! There is just nothing like a steamy bowl of soup on a frosty day! Have fun trying some new recipes!

*If I've missed anyone's recipes, please let me know, and I'll link to them for you!*

~Well, that was brilliant...~

I completely forgot about the Recipe Swap! For those who participated, thank you! I'll get your recipe links up by the end of today. Since I haven't gotten the links up yet, feel free to participate! =)

~Beautiful Pictures~

When I was doing my post about my sister coming for Thanksgiving, I wanted a picture to go along with the post. I googled "jumping for joy" and came across this site. I perused it further after posting, and the photography is just amazing. I am not a "horse person", but I can surely appreciate these wonderful animals! All the pictures are by one woman, which is equally as amazing. She must be very patient in order to get all those great shots!

~Progressing right along~

A friend from church has access to a sprayer for wall texturing, and he offered to come over and texture our walls and ceilings for us! He and his wife came over on Saturday and he textured everything. What a blessing they were to us! We no longer have icky sand papery walls! Hooray!

Tuesday, we start painting. Everything is progressing!

~A Year of Color: Tan~

This week's color for A Year of Color (click on button on right sidebar) is tan.

I took a few pictures at work today, and submitted this one:

It's a brick sample. I work for an architect, and at times, it seems as if there are enough samples in the office to finish a whole house.

~WIP~

“WIP” is another crafting term for “Work in Progress”. I’m making another pair of socks! I’ve had the yarn for quite a while, but I haven’t gotten around to making them. This will be my fifth pair of socks. I’m loving the way this sock is coming out, so far anyhow!

It’s just a plain sock, no fancy stitches, or anything to slow me down. But the yarn makes up for the plainness of the sock. I think I’ll have to buy something to go along with theses socks, because I can’t think of anything in my closet that matches any of these colors.

I’ve discovered that I’m a much faster knitter. Somewhere along the way, I’ve sped up, and didn’t even realize it. That’s a great realization!

I don’t have many knitting blogs that I read, but one thing that has always impressed me about the ones I do read is their yarn stashes. They’ll post a picture with yarn enough for 30 pairs of socks or more, and then talk about buying more yarn. I don’t have a stash yet, at least, not much of one. There are a few odd balls of yarn lurking in my sewing room closet. Sock yarn isn’t usually cheap, either. You can spend over $20 for a pair of socks! I haven’t spent that much…yet…but I guarantee you, if I did, I wouldn’t stash it! I’d at least start a project with it. It may be over a year before it’s done, but hey it’s not technically in a “stash” being unused, right? =)

~Jump for Joy~

Oh, such excitement! My sister Holly has been talking about visiting us at Thanksgiving, and today she got everything approved at her work, and purchased tickets! I’m beyond excited! I’m thinking up all the wonderful times we’ll have together! I hope it snows while she’s here (if she wants it to snow, that is!). I just can’t wait, but I guess I’ll have to!

~I am the Vine~

I am the vine
Ye are the branches
He that abideth in me
And I in him
The same bringeth forth much fruit
For without me ye can do nothing
If ye abide in me
And my words abide in you
Ye shall ask what ye will
And it shall be done unto you
John 15:5, 7

I’ve been memorizing those verses today, and the truth in them has been abiding in my heart all day long. “For without me ye can do nothing”. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

~No more flowers~

Well, the time had come to take my impatiens out of the front flower beds...*Sniff*. The only problem being that if it wasn't snowing, raining, or terribly freezing, we were busy and I couldn't get outside to get the plants taken out. Tonight I made the time. It was much harder to take them out then put them in! I had two wheel barrowfulls of half-dead plants!

Oh yes, and residing in the flower beds are all manner of Very Odd and Disgusting Bugs. But then, don't mind me. To me, all bugs, with the exception of ladybugs, are Very Odd and Disgusting. At least it's cold out, so I didn't have too many run-ins with the Very, Very Odd and Disgusting Bugs. Mainly it was the Very Creepy Crawly Earthworms. Yuck.

I still have my bulbs to plant. I have a few already, and have plans to buy more! Spring is so far away, but the thought of those beautiful flowers coming up next spring is very pleasant! I just wish winter weren't so long!

~Out of Curiosity~

What catalogs do you enjoy getting in the mail? I like to get catalogs to look through in my spare time, but right now I'm not getting that many.

I get the Christian Book Distributor catalog, a few seed catalogs, and Land's End. I'd like to get some others, just because it's nice to have something to flip through in the evenings and get ideas from.

~Be Ye Kind~

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

—Ephesians 4:32

This verse has been a part of me for many years. I learned it in Sunday school or junior church as a song when I was very small. I guess you could say that I’ve almost been flippant with this verse, singing it many times, quoting it to siblings (hmmm…that probably wasn’t very kind…), and teaching it to various children over the years, but never really pausing to meditate on it.

In recent months, God has called upon me to be forgiving to someone. We all have someone to forgive, don’t we? But in my hurt I’ve failed to always be as kind as I ought to be. I was walking down the street yesterday, and God brought this verse to my mind, quite out of the blue. (Isn’t it wonderful how God works?) As I mulled over this verse, truly thinking about it, I pondered the fact that kindness and forgiveness were commanded in the same sentence. Did they have any relation to each other? I do believe so.

So, is kindness easy? Well, no. Not always. Even when there is no hurt involved, the flesh steps in and we can be unkind!

Is forgiveness easy? No. But God has called His children to both.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
—Hebrews 4:12

~Pumpkin Patch Pie~

For dessert today, I made a "Pumpkin Patch Pie" from a recipe found in one of my Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. It turned out very good!

1 and 1/2 lb. pumpkin
1 to 2 apples; peeled, cored, and sliced
1/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/8 t. ginger
1/8 t. cloves

Wash the pumpkin, cut off top, and clean out. Mix apple slices (I chopped the apples so they would fit in the ), raisins, sugar, and spices. Put mixture into pumpkin. Place on cookie sheet to catch spills. Bake at 375* for 1 and 1/2 hours or until apple slices and pumpkin flesh is fork tender.

This was quick and fun to make, and while the recipe says it serves one, Kevin and I split it. Yummmmmmy!

~Recipe Swap: Simmering Soups~

As the weather gets increasingly colder, I love to make soups, stews, and chili. It has been a while since I've hosted a recipe swap, so I thought I'd do one for soups!

Want to participate? It's simple! Within this week, post your favorite recipe for soup, stew, or chili on your blog, and then either comment on this post, or send me an e-mail. Next Sunday afternoon, I'll post all the links in one place. It's like a mini-cookbook! *Smile*

If you'd like to use the button I created, just right click and save it to your computer. I'm looking forward to lots of delicious recipes!

~Cream Puffs~

This is something else: a wedding gown made out of cream puffs.

I guess if you get hungry during the wedding, a snack is ready! LOL

~Work Pictures, pt. 2~

Here is another picture to show the progress:

I really like the rooms divided a bit more. It makes them seem more like seperate rooms, yet the rooms are still very open to one another.

Next week, our friend will finish the mudding on the walls, and then another friend is going to come and spray texture on the walls. It's coming along nicely!

~October 12~

Isn't it a little early for snow?

It snowed all day today. Not just little bits here and there, but SNOW. It's snowing now. I'm telling you, I'm not ready for snow yet! Where is fall?

~FO~

Have you been on a crafter's blog and seen the term "FO"? It stands for "Finished Object". Well, I have a finished object to show off!

I'm really excited about it, because I love the way it came out. I loved working with the yarn, and the knitting went fast.

It's a stocking cap:

It fits!

I don't have anywhere in my house that's good for taking pictures right now--everything is pretty torn up with our current project!

I used a pattern from a library book called "Hip to Knit". The yarn is DK weight 25% wool. It's lovely to work with, and this pattern just whizzed along! The ribbing gave me something of interest, and I was glad I had stitch markers for the decrease rounds.

~Shelf picture?~

Several posts prior to this one, I posted three pictures. *I* see the pictures I posted (even on a different computer), but there are several who have said they see shelving? Too weird. I have no idea what is wrong. However, if you want to see the real picture I posted, just click on the basement shelving picture.

I think I figured out the problem. The basement shelf picture is a picture of my basement storage room. I've posted it in the past, and it must be saved as the same number as the yarn picture, therefore Blogger got a little confused. I solved the problem by renaming and reposting the correct picture.

~Advertising Slogans~

You know how companies and stores have slogans and songs? They make you remember their store better, right? Well, the company, which I shall not mention, whose slogan is thus:

You can do it. We can help.

needs to work on the "we can help" part of their slogan.

ARGH

Let's just say that we spent a good hour in this particular home improvement store to get five buckets of paint mixed.

This isn't the only incident, just the latest one.

I think next time we go shopping for home improvement stuff, we'll go to the store whose song says:

Save big money...save big money...when you shop Menards!

~Menu Plan Monday~

I typically go grocery shopping on Saturday, thus planning my menu from Saturday to Friday. This week, I had to go shopping on Sunday, but will still go shopping next Saturday.

Here are the main courses I will be serving this week:
Sunday ~ Stir Fry (made by my husband)
Monday ~ Vegetable Beef Soup
Tuesday ~ Spaghetti
Wednesday ~ Orange Chicken (crock pot recipe)
Thursday ~ Corn and Chicken Enchiladas
Friday ~ Meat loaf and baked potatoes

Go on over to Organizing Junkie for more menu plans.

~A Year of Color: Catching up!~

I am still participating in A Year of Color (link on my sidebar), but I haven't posted the pictures on my blog for a few weeks.

Pine Green:

(I did skip Turquoise week)

Brick Red:

Goldenrod (well, one of the colors in the yarn is what I consider to be goldenrod!):

Now I'm all caught up! =)

~My portable entertainment center~

Kevin and I were talking on the way home from church about a get-together that someone in our church is wanting to have. It involves watching football.

Yippee.

Ok, so I'm not a football fan. In fact, if you asked me how football works, I would refer you to this skit.

So as we talked about this possible get-together, I mentioned the fact that I could always take my knitting with me. Kevin said, "It's your 'portable entertainment center'." Yes, that would be an accurate description. *Grin*

I do often take my knitting along with me, and it comes in handy. I can still be polite and talk with others, but it's nice to have busy hands.

Here's my latest project:

Any guesses as to what it is?

I know I said I was going to work on my quilt. However, the house is so dusty, I don't want to work on it right now. I have to have something to do, so I did start a new project. *Smiles*

~Work Day~

Work, work, work!

Today is a catch-up day. I've gotten the bathroom cleaned, and even spent some extra time cleaning out a drawer and doing extra scrubbing as well.

Laundry is the never-ending chore, and it has piled up quite a bit as of late. The laundry will take up a good portion of my day. I also have my grocery shopping and errands to do.

What about you? Are you working or playing today? :O)

Susan wrote an excellent article about the bondage we put ourselves in. I highly recommend it!

~In love with my socks~

*Grin*

I finished my Jaywalker Socks last May, and except for trying them on a few times, and admiring them, I hadn't worn them up until just recently.

Now that the weather is cooler, I have started wearing them. First though, I had to buy shoes so that I could wear them. I changed my outfit on Wednesday, so that I could wear my socks to church in the evening. I was talking to a friend, showing her my socks, and new shoes, and her husband asked me, "What, you didn't buy a new outfit?" It wasn't necessary, for this pair of socks anyhow.

I love wearing my socks! I have a ball of yarn that I want to knit another pair of socks for myself with. The funny thing is, I'm not sure if I have anything to wear with them. So I may just have to buy an outfit for my socks.

Yes, when you knit your own socks, you can buy a whole outfit to go with them. There's a rule for that. Somewhere, I'm sure!

~Work Pictures~

Here are some pictures of our living room/dining room. Hopefully they will give you an idea what we're doing!

The dividing doorway between the two rooms is going to be extended on both sides by about 18 inches. This will make the rooms more defined, give me a little more wall space, and give us options for arranging furniture.

The previous owner put all the "woodwork" up. It wasn't really woodwork--just planks that he had stained and nailed in place. It wasn't installed well at all. I disliked it from the moment we walked into the house to look at it! I know it's not a "big" thing to have to "live with" but the living room and dining room were both rooms that if we were going to paint and try to make them look nice, we knew there was a lot of work that we'd have to put into them!

The walls were painted with a paint that looks and feels like sand paper. Now maybe some of you have the same paint, so please don't be offended, but I can't stand it! A friend of ours from church is going to come over with his sprayer and texture the walls for us!

Meanwhile a different friend from church is helping Kevin with the woodwork and floor.

I don't know how long this project will last, but we're hoping for less than a month!

~Vision Forum Contest~

Head on over to Kim's for a chance to enter a fabulous contest, hosted by Vision Forum! I'm thinking...Christmas presents!!! Hurry on over! There are $1500 worth of prizes being awarded!

~Remodeling~

We embarked on our remodeling project last night. I say "we" in the very loosest of terms, because "I" didn't do anything at all related to the project last night! :-) So now our living room and dining room are devoid of woodwork. The middle doorway is devoid of its plaster as well. We (there I go again...) are making the doorway a little narrower, so that the two rooms are more defined.

I'll have to post pictures later on today. I'm just so excited that the project has begun! It's a big, big mess now! Dust everywhere! But the mess will be worth it, to have nice walls, floors, and woodwork!

~My Forever Project: Grandmother's Flower Garden~

Everyone needs a life-long project. It must be something that is a huge undertaking, one which will loom over your head for life. A project that you will move with you every time you move. Yes, a project that will last your lifetime!

I am being sarcastic, but I just happen to have such a project.

About ten years ago, a lady in my church knew that I was interested in quilting, and she gave me a quilt top that her mother-in-law found among some things she was cleaning out. The quilt top, a traditional Grandmother's Flower Garden, was gorgeous--a circa 1930's or 40's quilt top, mostly hand-pieced.

I fell in love with it. It has a few quirks--the seamstress ran out of the purple fabric and substituted another fabric in one corner. There are also several other variations that make it very unique.

And so began my journey. I chose to outline each tiny little hexagon with hand quilting. When I quilt it, I think of the woman who sewed it, and wonder why she didn't quilt it. Was the quilt top her life's project? Or did she sew it together and then lose interest? Perhaps she made it late in life and didn't get a chance to quilt it. I know where it came from, but the person who gave it away did not know who made it. I wonder if the pieces were scraps from clothing, or purchased for the quilt.

Well, I dug it out of my cedar chest last Friday night and started working on it again. I say it's my "life project", but truly it's taking so long because I'm not working on it! I haven't quilted on it for over a year. I was going to work on it last winter, but I never pulled it out. After I finished the hexagon (the larger "flower") I laid it out and counted the hexagons I had finished. I was shocked. In ten years, I had only completed 30 of the 64 hexagons! At this rate, I'll be well over 40 before I complete this quilt! Yikes!

I decided to leave the quilt out and work on it in the evenings, instead of starting a myriad of knitting projects. Now that I've made up my mind to work hard on it, I am on my 32nd hexagon. Great, now it's almost half-way finished!

Do you have a "forever" project? If so, what is it?

~Potato Pancakes sans Stitches~

I love potato pancakes! I even have a post about potato pancakes, from just a year ago. Only I really wasn't talking about potato pancakes. In fact, I only got to eat a few potato pancakes I made that night, because I ended up in the emergency room getting stitches!

Last Friday night Kevin was away with our church men at a retreat, and I decided to treat myself to potato pancakes. Only, I didn't attempt to chop up frozen butter this time! No stitches for me this time around!

Is there a food you just love that your husband just doesn't love? Potato pancakes is one such food in our family. Since I don't adore cooking that much, I make one meal for both of us. So that means I don't get potato pancakes that often.

I don't really have a recipe. This is what I did:

In blender, process until smooth:
1 onion
3 potatoes
1 egg
a few sprinkles of garlic salt
about a tablespoon of self-rising flour

I made them just like regular pancakes. They were oh, so very good!

I have many fond memories of potato pancake dinners. My dad was usually the one who made them, but my mom made them too. We'd all sit around the table, and wait for them to be cooked. My dad has the wonderful ability to make plate-sized pancakes and turn them without breaking them. So we would all wait patiently for our pancakes to cook. Maybe while we were waiting we made up names for people. But we all sat around the table and waited, because potato pancakes are best HOT.

~Just for fun~

I have several things to blog about, but the pictures I have to go along with the posts are at home. So instead I decided to do something just for the fun of it.

In the comment, just put the word verification code. You know, all those letters that you have to type in order to get to post a comment. That's all...LOL...I know I'm being silly. I'll go first!
