Moss-Covered Wreath

Tonight I made a moss-covered wreath to hang on my sewing room mirror, inspired by Mrs. Wilt's tutorial here.

I added flowers and streamers, and I think the result is just right for my sewing room!

My teddy bears find a comfy home here on the dresser!

It's gorgeous! I will have to add some flowers to mine too. So beautiful- it looks like a magazine cover. Great job! :o)

And I agree with Mrs. Wilt...it does look like a magazine cover. What a peaceful and serene and feminine room. (o:

  4. What a wonderfully simple touch. It's great, gonna have to keep my eyes out for one of these wreaths, a bit hard to find here.

  7. That is so beautiful. It needs to be shown in a prominent place instead of hidden away in a sewing room. :) Wish I were as talented but I'm not...

  8. Tammy---looks great. About how much did you spend on materials? I'm curious only because I might do one too and I'm such a frugal zealot!:)

  18. I just read about your wreath at Waiting For Him and had to come check it out. Wow! I'm glad I did. It's gorgeous. Very you, I might add with all the pretty roses. I bet it looks so pretty with the curtains you have in there.

  20. Thank you, everyone, for your encouraging comments! It was such fun to make, and very easy. (Very messy too, I might add! LOL That moss just goes every which way!)

Lindsey, Hobby Lobby still does receipts the old fashioned way, so it's hard to remember what cost what!

The ribbon was $2.99, the moss was about the same price, though I think it was 1/2 off, and the flower bouquet was 1/2 off of $4.99. I think the styrofoam wreath was $2.49, though I'm not positive! I was aware of what each item cost as I put it in my basket, but I wasn't memorizing the prices! :) I'm sure if you looked out for sales, you could gather the items for less than I did!

  23. Oh how lovely!! I'm going to have to do something like this for my living room when we ever get around to finishing remodeling it so I can decorate! I will just have to use sunflowers to match my decor :)

  24. Lisa, that's a good idea about the dollar store!

Bernice, yes I can tell you like bears. :) My sweet husband has given me many of them for gifts.

Susan, the sunflowers would look very pretty on it!
