Recipe Swap: Summer Salads

Summer is in full swing! Summer is the perfect weather for salads of any kind! If you have a favorite summer salad that you would like to share, post the recipe on your blog sometime this week, and e-mail me a link or comment in this post with your link. I'll be posting all the recipe links next Saturday evening!

Here's a salad I enjoyed tonight:
~*~ tomatoes from my garden ~*~ feta cheese ~*~ sweet basil from my garden ~*~
~*~ a small amount of vinagrette salad dressing ~*~

I got the idea for this salad from Lindsey. Thank you, Lindsey!

  1. Awwh you are welcome! Here is another great tomato recipe:

Cut off the top of the tomato. Core it out and set aside the tomato. Mix in cheese (your fave kind), some breadcrumbs, fresh basil, and a pat of butter (softened). Mix well, then stuff back into the tomato.

Put in foil, wrap up, and GRILL for 10 minutes until warm and cheese has melted. MMMMMM

  14. Tammy, your salad looks Yummy:) I was raised in an Italian household, and my Grandmother would always make something similiar--she would cut up tomatoes, add a bunch of garlic, salt and pepper, and then add oil--she would serve it as an appetizer with crackers, hard bread--and she called it Italian salsa:)
You have a very lovely site, and I so enjoy visiting it and reading--:)
