~Blue Ribbed Socks~

I've been trying to do some stash busting, so I pulled out some navy sock yarn that I purchased quite a while ago. I didn't want to make just a plain sock, but since the yarn is so dark, I didn't want to do something with too much of a pattern either.

I finally decided on "Oak Ribbed Sock" in Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage Socks. I am pleased with the result. I knitted them up in just 11 days.

Cute socks! They would be perfect with jeans...just the right color.

Nice socks. It looks like you are getting ready for fall! I have been in sock mode too, but I am suffering with a bit of second sock syndrome. I think I have four half-pairs right now - a record for me!

Thank you, Susan and Heather.

Heather, I never start on another pair of socks until I get a complete pair. So sometimes I have one sock languishing in my sewing room for a while. :-) I'd like to learn how to do two socks on one circ...that would eliminated SSS completely!

Tammy, I love them! I'd love to learn how to knit socks, but my knitting skills are pretty meager - it would probably take a hundred years or so, lol!

They are SO cute!

Love the socks! Loved seeing the post. I was concerned when you didn't post for awhile.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Cute socks. I took a class a month ago and finished my first pair on double points. Now I'm making dh a pair using the magic loop method. I like it ok but I'm thinking of buying another loop and using two so I can do two at the same time. I just don't get the two pair at once on the magic loop. Oh well.
Seeing all the socks you made gave me the itch to learn. I always thought it would be really hard so I didn't add this to my skills. How dumb. Socks are the easiest thing I've ever knitted.

You AMAZE me!! You are SO very talented! I could NEVER wear any of the socks that you make because they are TOO PRETTY and I would NEVER want to wear holes in them!!!
