nummy...green beans. :) I intend to grow those too next year. I think we agreed on tomatoes, green peans, peas, and cucumbers. And maybe potatoes. we've decided to just do it in our backyard, so it'll be small. :)
We talked to someone who planted potatoes this year. She said she got about 15-20 potatoes (not pounds, potatoes) from the four plants they did. From what I saw, they took up a lot of space. But fresh-from-the-ground potatoes sure would be good.

Lol, I read your title of this post as "Canning Steak" and wondered why in the world would you can steak, and why 147 jars of it?! :)
