Yesterday while I was out doing errands, Kevin called me and asked if I could stop and get gas if it was still "low" at $3.45. Most of the gas stations had gone up to almost $3.70 by then, but I did find one that was $3.42. The line was long, tempers were flaring as people "lost" their spot, and the lot was crazy with cars trying to drive every-which-way. To think that $3.42 was a good price, and we were willing to wait for it!
The rising gas prices certainly haven't kept us home from church and work, but it has put a damper on just running out for this or that. The rising gas prices are crazy! Have the prices changed your way of life any? And to what extent?

I agree. It's nuts. Now pretty much the only running we do is church, work, and grocery shopping. Everything gets doubled up - stopping for groceries on the way home from work or appointments, etc. I'm a bit afraid of just how high the prices will be by summer's end!
It's hindered my life because I love to just go somewhere all the time. Now I think before I have to do anything. And I spend less as a whole, because no more useless trips to Wal-Mart!!! My husband loves that! Gas for us was $3.72 today. ON BASE!! $3.83 out in town.
It's horrible! We pay over $6 a gallon here in Croatia but we don't drive as much or as far.
Awful!!
It's bad in the South, too. Louisiana usually has the lowest gas prices in the country, but it's still around $3.30 a gallon here, and rising each week.
Dh has to drive about 10 miles to work each day, and sometimes has to drive a couple of hours away for meetings, but he is reimbursed for mileage and gas by his firm, so that helps. We are now spending more on gas than food, and that's a shame. I try to keep my errand-running down to the bare minimum, hitting as many places as possible, and planning my route for effecient gas usage.
Right now in Northern California they are cheap at $3.79 (can you believe that), last weekend we were in Sacramento and they ere $3.99. It doesn't really change where we go or what we do. I am just thankful that we purchased a economy car last year. This is a big help.
we heard something interesting on the radio this morning about gas prices and if it is changing our driving habits. They did research for the state of WI and believe it or not are gas consumption was down.

Gas prices are RIDICULOUS!!!! We are learning to combine trips in our family and do all our errands in one day instead of just running to the store whenever we needed something. I am really praying that prices will come down soon.

Your prices sounds wonderful -- our gas is currently about $4.57 a gallon. :( Unfortunately, we can't cut down too much, b/c we drive quite a distance to church, and my husband also to work. But we are trying to take advantage of the nicer weather and walk around town when we can.
