~It's a miracle! It's a freak of nature! It's...~

...no doubt a mis-labeled plant!

I was shocked when I looked out the window this morning and saw some pretty pink flowers. I thought they were perhaps weeds...but no, they were growing on my white carnation plant.

How odd...I know I purchased a white carantion plant last summer (it never bloomed last summer, so I was very excited to have a plant full of blooms)!

Oh well, I'll enjoy the pink! I got quite a giggle out of my plant changing colors on me though!

I like to pink, not as noble as white but very cheery!

I was just browsing your blog again :0) You could easily make that pretty bag, that is sold out. And what do I do when I lack motivation (which is quite frequently)? I will tell myself that I am not allowed to check emails until the dishes are done, and the kitchen is cleaned up. Or I will set the stove timer for an hour, and go hard.

White sport coat and pink carnation...Remember that song. It might be before your time. Anyway they're so pretty!

It's so pretty!

Just a thought. . .I don't know if carnations do this, but some other plants change colors depending on the pH of the soil they're in. Some of my irises in my front yard were white in my friend's yard before she dug them up and gave them to me - but they're lavender here. Strange, huh?

Hmmm, I don't know if the carnations would change color or not based on soil. I planted yellow carnations as well and they are blooming yellow!
