~No more flowers~

Well, the time had come to take my impatiens out of the front flower beds...*Sniff*. The only problem being that if it wasn't snowing, raining, or terribly freezing, we were busy and I couldn't get outside to get the plants taken out. Tonight I made the time. It was much harder to take them out then put them in! I had two wheel barrowfulls of half-dead plants!

Oh yes, and residing in the flower beds are all manner of Very Odd and Disgusting Bugs. But then, don't mind me. To me, all bugs, with the exception of ladybugs, are Very Odd and Disgusting. At least it's cold out, so I didn't have too many run-ins with the Very, Very Odd and Disgusting Bugs. Mainly it was the Very Creepy Crawly Earthworms. Yuck.

I still have my bulbs to plant. I have a few already, and have plans to buy more! Spring is so far away, but the thought of those beautiful flowers coming up next spring is very pleasant! I just wish winter weren't so long!

Having sons has definitely broadened my experience with creepy crawlies - lol! Although I must admit even my daughters occasionally come it with a bug in hand. Ewww!

Hi Tammy,

They might be box elder bugs. We seem to be having a banner year for them here in Michigan! I've seen more of them this year than ever!

I am laughing at your Very Odd and Disgusting Bugs. So A.A. Milne of you!

My husband and children are at the Reptile Show at the Puyallup Fairgrounds. I am wondering if they will come back with a California King Snake or a Corn Snake.

Meanwhile, I must clean house while they are gone and the house is quiet......and it will "keep" for a while!
