Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

~Paint, paint, paint~
I am still trying to decide if I like the golden paint. Is it yellow, gold, mustard, or a combination of all three? I like it from different angles. What's funny is that I was afraid I wouldn't like the green. I love the green! My husband tells me I'll like the, um, other color (I don't know what to call it???)
This is even funnier: Whenever we paint, or work on a room, we discover that the room was previously green (a very ugly color of green!). For instance: the insides of the cabinets, the kitchen, the bathroom, the hallway going down to the basement, the sewing room, the living room, the dining room. Seriously, everything was painted the same shade of green (even the trim). Think 1950's green. They must have gotten a great deal on green paint!. I've been astonished that someone would paint everything green. And then it dawned on me...I was painting the dining room green. I imagine the homeowners who painted everything green would really like the dining room! LOL
Anyhow, we have one more coat of paint in each room. We'll do that on Saturday. After that: refinish the floor, prime and paint the trim, and install the trim. We have a lot of work done, a lot more to go!

I love the way the green and "that other color" lol go together so well! I think it is perfectly matching!! Can't wait to see it finished!

Those colors are working nicely! "Autumn Gold." How about that?
The golden yellow looks the same as what we have in our living room and dining room and we *love* it! Ours is called 'Humble Gold' from Sherman Williams. (o:
The painting is looking very good! I have green in my office.
Our house had lots of green in it. It was DH's grandmother's house. The green was something of a mint...like the color you see chipping off old chairs. Then the avacado green was in there too.
After 22 years, all gone!
It is funny to me to see the greens and golds coming back. Brings back the 70s. Used to have a gold frig and stove, too.
:o)
I like the colors, and I like the name mustard because it sounds classy vintage-y. The color reminds me of Colonial Williamsburg colors. Great job!
Green happens to be the most wonderful color in the world (said in a snooty voice with my nose held high in the air). Actually, I am one of those people who paints everything green. Almost every room in my house is a shade of green with the exception of two. My sewing room that used to be my eldest son's room. I am planning on painting it though. His new room, he leaves for college in the fall...hahahaha...it will be green after that.
When we moved into our home (Hubby's childhood home) his mother had painted the outside a lemon yellow base with pea green trim, LOL! Our kitchen cabinets inside and out was the same tone of pea green, so I understand the green thing. Now the funny thing is my kitchen is now green again, but now it is a sage green ;-)
I think it looks great. Remember that you don't have anything on your walls yet. Blank walls always make me wonder if I picked the right color...and lighting always warms the atmosphere. You have much to look forward to. :o)
Oh Tammy, I think the green AND the yellow are GORGEOUS!! I'll bet you'll love the yellow once you get all the furniture in place and things hung on the wall.
When we painted our guest bathroom yellow, I HATED it!!!! But, the idea of choosing another color and repainting was even worse in my opinion. But once everything was put in its proper place, I LOVE the color. Yellow is so CHEERY- even in a bathroom. :)
I can't wait to see your finished rooms!!

the colors look nice together! it's looking good. it's nice to do projects, I think
Hi Tammy, I am hosting a recipe swap on my blog for casseroles if you would like to join in. The green and yellow walls is very pretty.
We found the same thing in our house (built in 1954)...except it's PINK hiding under all those layers of paint!
I like the gold/yellow. It goes great with the green.
The colors you used are really nice...they compliment each other. Can't wait to see the finished product! : )
