~Storybook Apron~

I'm really excited about the next theme for Tie One On, "Storybook Aprons". I will have to think about this, but I want to participate this time!

The first apron story that comes to my mind is from In Grandma's Attic. The mom had a busy day, with mess after mess to deal with. She kept tying an apron on to hide the mess...and at the end of the day she had about eight aprons on!

Any favorite aprons/stories from storybooks to give me inspiration?

Tammy!! I just started the Grandma's Attic series with Chloe. We read that story and the one about the boys knocking on the door as a prank and the minister showed up (mom thinking it was the boys, hollered at them/him). Great books!

I was about Chloe's age when I first read In Grandma's Attic. Later on, when I was in 7th grade, I found out there was a whole series and checked them out from the church library! And a few years ago I reread them all over again, just for the fun of it! They are great books! I love that the stories are fun and there is always a lesson woven in to the story.

I love the Grandma's Attic series, and just reread them about a year or so ago. A couple of weeks ago I was thrilled to discover that they are publishing them once again! So a whole new generation of girls will get to know them! :)

I love this apron challenge. I'd love to take part... not sure if I'll have any time for sewing, but it sure would be fun to do a book-inspired apron! I've been trying to think of other aprons mentioned in books. I do remember that story you mentioned - so funny! :)
