~Ipsy Wipsy Spider~

…came crawling across my desk…

Oh me, oh my! A spider fan I am not! I usually attribute my arachnophobia to the poisonous spider bite I got as a young adult. Yes, I do realize that most spiders are not out to eat me, but still...one just never knows, now do they?! ;-)

Teeny little spiders I can easily deal with. Big, hairy spiders are NOT to be dealt with at all. Hopefully, I can avoid even seeing such spiders!

Well, the other day I came back to my desk (at work), and set some papers down…and saw a huge, hairy spider crossing my desk. I did what comes naturally; I screamed. Like, really loud. Oops. Everyone, of course, had to come see what caused such an outburst!

Have I mentioned how great my husband is? He is my knight in shining armor, especially when armed with a Kleenex, ready and willing to kill all the ugly spiders I come across! And I do believe I’ve mentioned we work at the same office? He squished the spider for me.

Ok, everyone…one, two, three… “awwwwww”. =)

I'm not terrified of spiders but I cannot stand killing them...or any bug for that matter, if I don't have to. It just feels gross! I always call my hubby. And he is terrified of them, but he kills them for me cuz he's so sweet. :))

Good for Kevin!!! I won't try to tell you its just a bug because it isn't a bug but the probability of that spider or any other spider doing you harm is slim or none. I know what fear can do so I'm glad he was there to kill it.

I am terrified of spiders so I would be screaming my lungs out. Mike can't understand why I am so afraid of them. I get him to kill them for me. They make my skin crawl. You have a good hubby to kill them for you...

I didn't know you and Kevin worked together. How cool is that! :o)

Spiders? My greatest fear used to be that one of my little boys would pick up a poisonous one; a fear born out of the fact that they love to carry around bugs AND the many, many black widows (around our house!) and brown recluse, both prevalent in the area from which we just moved. [I hated that!]

Our current house is overrun with ladybugs. :o) At least they're cute, and they don't bite!

I'm with you Sis on the subject of spiders. I don't mind the little ones either...its those big, hairy things with eight legs that really freak me out. Living near woods tends to make us more prone to those kind of things too. I also have a fear of black widows and brown recluse spiders. So far...I've seen many black widows but not yet seen a brown recluse...at least I don't think I have. Thank the Lord I've not been bit by either as of yet...and I hope I never do!!

Eewwww...I don't like spiders (or crickets) either. I am glad Kevin came to your rescue and made sure that spider didn't eat you. : )

It takes a LOT of nerve for me to even try to kill a creepy crawly bug!! Yuck!
