Tammy, the labels thingy is one of your choices when you go to customize your sidebar... just like you have aprons and projects... but it has its own name... can't remember what it is... but it is one of those choice there...
Lots of help I am, huh? Just go look and you will find it. It is hard to describe when I am not looking at my own.
I tried to do a search on this, but didn't come up with anything. You might want to ask the person who created your blog how to do it. she might know. =)
Once you add your labels to your posts, click on the label. It will take you to that label's homepage. That is your URL; use it to create the link in your sidebar.
Be very careful of using the pre-formated templates with the label options. I'm pretty sure it will wipe out your existing template if you do that.
The big thing I have not yet figured out [and please, please let me know if you find this out] is how to put the links on the bottom of each label home page so that it will show "older" "home" and "newer (or previous)". It seems that each label home page will only post a certain number of entries. So my older entries will not show when I click on my label links (which are in my sidebar). I haven't had any time to play with this new "widget" html language. Urrr! It is a source of frustration for me! ;o)
If this doesn't make any sense - email me. My link is on my sidebar (in the door with the mail slot). Good luck - and keep me posted on how it goes! :o)
P.S. I created another blog and hid it from my profile so that I could play with this new widget language and try to figure it out. I just haven't had the time to really mess with it much. Or maybe it's that I just haven't had any success with the time I have spent because I have figured out plenty of things that don't work - lol!
I'm not sure that I'm going to switch over. We have space for a blog on our family page, and Wes has wanted me to switch over there, but I just havne't had the time. So I'm waiting to see what happens. Maybe after this weekend . . . .
Update to the label issue, I just found this at Known Issues under "labels."
"If you use a classic template, the labels pages will only display the last 20 posts for each label, with no link to view older posts. If you switch to a Layouts template, you will automatically get "older posts" links to go back through each set of labels. — latest update on Friday, January 19, 2007"
So it looks like unless I can find something on a computer guru "ways to get around Blogger" type site -- I won't be able to get my labels link to display more than 20 posts in that category. Hmmph! :o(

Tammy, I don't know that they're supposed to. But I do know that there are codes for your template to do that.
Uhhhhhhh, that didn't help at all, now did it? LOL

I finally made the switch, too... but I've been scared (and a little busy unpacking, of course) to even try figuring everything out!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Blogger! It's so user friendly!
I must admit though that it's more complicated with a custom template.
Hope you get things figured out. (o:

Welcome to the new Blogger Tammy! I was a bit dubious at first - but turns out to be quite user friendly. Best wishes for the big change over!
I like it, too, Tammy. It's much FASTER to publish I've noticed.
