~Oh, so very sad!~

I just got an e-mail from my LYS (Local Yarn Shop) that they are closing. CLOSING??? Why, oh why? I need them! This yarn shop is my favorite! I have searched out all the yarn shops in my area, and this one, while they may not have all the newest, most popular yarns, is very sensible. They have yarn for most any project one could dream up. I was just in there on Saturday with my mother-in-law, and they didn't give a hint about their store closing. What I really can't believe is how quickly they will be shutting down - their last open date is June 2. That's only eight days away!!!

*****WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH*****

(BIG, big tears!!!)

yes, but think of how much yarn you can buy in the next 8 days! And you KNOW it's going to be on clearance!

Get in there and load up on some bargains! :)

My thoughts exactly! It can be bittersweet because of the sales!

Now that you won't have a yarn store to spend your money in...here's an idea. Save up for a plane ticket, fly to Virginia, and go with me to my yarn shop. :)

I can relate to how you are feeling. Around here the Hancock Fabric stores are closing and most of the Wal Marts are phasing out their fabrics...for us quilters this is VERY sad news! And it's just not the same to buy it on line.

:o(

I agree with the sentiments about the clearance shopping. Our Wal-marts are phasing out fabric and a lot of their crafts, and Hobby Lobby is undergoing major changes as well.

Are people just sewing and crafting less... I would have thought the opposite, but maybe that's just the people I know.

OH NO! What changes is Hobby Lobby having?
