~Shopping fun~

I did a little shopping today. I need new spring clothes, so a good place to start is an outfit for Easter.

I got this adorable sweater from Christopher and Banks (they now offer online shopping, for those who do not live near a store!):

and then a fun pair of shoes from Payless Shoes Source:

This pair of shoes has a matching purse you can buy, but I don't want to overdo the polka-dots! But I'm thinking...a red purse would look really sharp. Yes? No? I'm making a black skirt to complete the outfit.

And since Payless Shoes Source is having their BOGO sales, I threw these in for fun:

They are perfect for the occasions between dressy and extremely casual!

I have a "theory" for shopping, if you will. I buy 90% or more of my clothing on clearance. But every once in a while, when I need new clothing, I am willing to purchase a few pieces at full price that I absolutely love and know I will wear the entire season. To me, it is worth it. I don't have to wait till the end of the season and pick through the leftovers. But like I said, I only buy a few pieces that way.

I'm really looking forward to wearing my new outfit! =)

That has got to be the best find! Shoes that match the sweater so well and they were not even bought from the same store!

I think a red purse would look nice. Really cute stuff!

I *love* the polka dot shoes!!! I think a red handbag would look great with the outfit, and a cute red cami would look great under that sweater too.

It looks like you are all ready for Easter. I have not even begun to think about it yet, but I know it is early this year.

Hi Tammy,

I just love that sweater!! I know what you mean about clothes shopping-- alot of mine are gotten at thrift stores and clearance racks, or I save up for when certain department stores have great sales and coupons together. But sometimes I'll order something full price from Land's End because their stuff lasts forever.

Take Care,

Trixie

Tammy ~ I love the sweater! I love C&Banks as I usually find something there. The shoes are perfect for your sweater. I agree with the suggestion for a red shell underneath and/or a red purse to complete your perfect outfit.

I just bought a bright pink sweater with white dots on it (not really polka) with an opposite matching shell, white with pink dots. Just before our Valentine's luncheon, I started to iron the wrinkles out from being packed in the bag from the store, and there was an ink mark ingrained in the fabric and a big dye smear, both on the back which I had not seen in the dressing room! Thankfully, they took it back and even more thankfully, they had the same size still on the rack so I could exchange. I didn't get to wear it yet, but I think it will probably be for Easter.

LOVE the shoes (both pairs!) -- too cute! And, I agree; a red purse would really bring a great pop of color to your outfit. I love the outfits from Christopher and Banks, but sadly, they do not sell anything in my size :( Hmmm... I'm going to have to get a sewing machine (uh, and learn how to use it) so that I can buy the bigger sized items (preferably on clearance) and alter them myself!

Oh I love, love, love Christopher and Banks and I love that sweater!!!

Oh less we forget the shows, to die for. I love different shows, not so much the norm and those second ones are not so norm but very cute.

Your gonna look so cute with your polka dots and red purse. °Ü°

Too cute! I'd definitely go with a red purse--maybe a red necklace, too. :) I'm so glad C&B is online now!
