One of the things I bought at IKEA was this framed artwork:
It cost $9.99, and was nicer than the picture frames without artwork in them. Instead of mats, the glass is etched, and the photos "float" behind the glass. It looked so pretty.
I cropped several pictures that I've taken, printed them on photo quality paper (at home), and Kevin mounted them right over the pictures that it came with.
The effect is very nice, I think:
I originally bought it for the living room, but it looked so much nicer against the green paint in the dining room, so that's where I hung it.

Cute!
Tammy, I am so delighted to have found your blog - I started blogging as a knitter, inspired by all the knitting blogs out there, and have been discovering some lovely Christian women's blogs - and now a Christian knitting blog too! I have to identify with your impatiens, ours really have been poor and we have figured out that they have been too wet as we have had lots of rain here in Norhtern Ireland this summer after a lovely warm and dry spring. Looking forward to keeping up to date with your crafting projects!
Pretty! : )
Tammy ~ What a clever way to get a good frame with the matting! It all looks wonderful with your pictures.
I was out of touch last week, but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your Thanksgiving in July posts. It's always a good thing to remember to have a thankful spirit.
And I'm so glad Mrs. U. mentioned your profile pic; it's adorable. Sometimes I think I have blinders on when I blog ~ lol ~ I forget to look around and see the changes! :o)
That is very pretty, especially against the green, good plan! ;-)
