~Monday's Daybook: November 16~

Outside My Window...a crisp November day.

I am thinking...about the work I need to get done today.

I am thankful for...our church. We had a "faith and finances" seminar over the weekend and it gave us a lot to think about.

From the kitchen...(last night) hot chocolate.

I am wearing...a pink long sleeved shirt, jean skirt, and slippers.

I am creating...my menu for the week.

I am going...grocery shopping, to the bank, and possibly to the fabric store. We'll see how today goes. :-)

I am reading...I need a new book...any suggestions??? Fiction or non-fiction - anything interesting you've read lately?

I am hoping...Flight Time and Big Easy win The Amazing Race. Yup, totally sucked into it this season. LOL I've never watched it, but I've really enjoyed it!

I am hearing...quiet!

Around the house...bananas to be made into banana bread, toys to be picked up, clutter reigned in, and then some candles to be lit and a home-made meal to be enjoyed (this evening).

One of my favorite things...a meal made in the crockpot. It is so nice when dinner time comes along. I really should utilize my crockpot more often!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...meeting a friend for lunch, otherwise just a quiet week.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...a treasured keepsake...the creamer from a melamine dinnerware set my grandma had years ago. She kept the creamer and used it in her sewing room to put water in her iron. From a very young age, I loved to go into my grandma's sewing room and this creamer was always in there. My grandma stopped using it when her iron came with a little pitcher, so she gave it to me when I expressed interest in having it. I use it to throw pins in while I'm sewing.

I enjoyed reading your daybook. Lovely keepsake. I think I might have a few bananas that would make some good banana bread also. Have a great day.

Thanks for visiting my daybook. I love my crock pots too! Great timesavers, especially on errand days. What a sweet keepsake - amazing that something so small could mean so much.

Have a blessed week.

That is a beautiful dish. I've never seen one that color. Picking up is never done. God bless, Doylene
