~Fabulous Fabric~

A little over a month ago, I was hopping about blogs, and came across Sew, Mama, Sew. It is a fun blog with lots of sewing inspiration. And a "Free Fabric Friday" every single week. I actually won fabric a few weeks ago!

Four gorgeous fat quarters, just waiting for me to do something with them:

Any ideas? I've never bought or used fat quarters before. Not that I haven't used scraps...but I do not want to waste an inch of this fabric!

Oh, I just found that blog recently [Hmm - I think maybe from Randi at I have to say ...] Anyway ~ I agree, it is a great blog! :o)

I'm gonna have to go over there and check it out.

As for what to do with fat quarters . . . I have no idea! I saw a blog not too long ago where the girl was making some things with them, but I can't remember where it was. Maybe you could Google "fat quarter challenge" and see what comes up.

Sorry you and Kevin were sick, but I was glad to see today that you're on the mend. Been there, done that!

Are they big enough to make a little purse out of? What about a checkbook cover?

The prints are adorable! Can't wait to see what you create. :)

Tammy,

Congradulations on the lovely fabric! I recommend a "Patchfolio" from Craft Apple
http://craftapple.wordpress.com/ . They are fun to make and practical.

Those are great.
I recommend miniature quilts. There are some great patterns here. Finished size is 16"X20"

They use 4 fat quarters plus one more for the backing (I'm sure you could find something to work for the back.)

Hi Tammy!
Love that fabric!!!
I would make a patchwork tablecloth, as it would match my kitchen. :)
If those aren't your home colors, a picnic tablecloth would be fun and cheery.
Have fun!
