~Soctoberfest Update~

Well, the end of October is here, and I have completed:

...Which does not equal the two pairs that I thought I was going to accomplish this month! However, I'm happy with my progress. The first sock was challenging, in that I had to keep ripping back. I did the heel three times, the gusset twice. The pattern itself wasn't challenging, things just kept going wrong (and I'm super picky--that sometimes works against me).

I've gathered sock yarn here and there, as evidenced by my small collection:

Left to right: Lang Jawoll superwash, Regia Cotton, Tofutsies, and "Pigs in the Mud" by Sunnyside Ellen.

So you see, I have my projects all lined up! The Pigs in the Mud is the newest yarn, but will probably be my next knit.

I love your socks, and I understand being picky! I am never happy until the things I make are perfect. If I leave a mistake, thinking nobody will know but me, then the mistake still irritates me. But I think this same drive for error-free work also helps me produce gorgeous knits that I am proud to wear in public. I dislike items that scream "homemade" in a bad way.

Happy knitting! I cannot wait so see what pattern you knit up with the Pigs in Mud. I love Sunnyside Ellen's yarns.

Knitting socks sounds complicated! :) I tried knitting a few years ago, but I didn't get very far with it.

Thank you for the nice comments on my blog! :)

I've used that exact color of the Lang JaWoll. I loved how the socks turned out. I also loved that the JaWoll comes with a spool of reinforcement thread.

And I am coveting that hot pink yarn!

Wow, that looks hard! Guess I'll stick to crochet.

They look warm!

I just love hand-knit socks! Lucky for me my daughter knits because the craft is not my friend. It tried and tried and just can't get it!
