~Home again, home again, jiggedy-jog~

I'm going to be a full time homemaker for a little bit here. I resigned from my job, and Friday was my last day. I did agree to work on Wednesday and Friday of next week, to fill in until the new person arrives. That will be a little funny feeling, but it will also give us a few more dollars in our bank account. *Smiles*

I am going to take a few weeks just to get caught up on everything (housework, gardening, sewing, etc.), and then I am going to look for part time work. My hat is off to the many women who work full time and get everything done. But that is not me. For the past six months or so, I have just been so overwhelmed by everything. Being away from home for 9 1/2+ hours each day makes it hard to keep up with everything!

I love being at home, and I am really looking forward to my little "vacation".

Congratulations on your resignation. (Is that appropriate to say?) I hope you enjoy your time off and then find a part time job that suits your needs.

I must say, I am looking forward to the day when I will be a full time stay at home wife and mom. Even working part time, I still feel like I struggle to get everything accomplished.

I just realized that you even get your break in time to enjoy the last part of the summer. I hope you have a nice break!

Have a happy time at home.
Not everyone is made for working and housekeeping at the same time.

It takes courage to take action like you did!

I'm so happy for you! Overwhelmed by working long hours outside the home is putting it mildly ... I've been there!

Enjoy your vacation, and I'll be praying that the Lord will lead you to whatever He has for you to do. Also praying that Wednesday and Friday will not be awkward for you at all, but serve only to strength your's and Kevin's confidence in your family's decision.

Blessings to you!

OH!!!! I have GOT to tell you.... Mr. U and I were at the eye doctor the other day and the SWEETEST lady was helping me. She walked away to get my new contacts and Mr. U and I looked at each other and said (at the SAME time!!) "She looks JUST like Tammy from Tammy's Times!!!!" :)

Seriously, you have a twin!! And she's super sweet, too!!!

Well you have gotten thru the first day. I pray it went well. As I am retired I sometimes think I did more at home when I was working. I don't plan my days like I used to. Have a great time away from outside employment and enjoy the "home" work.

Congratulations! I love being home, although I am also looking for part-time work. People just don't understand the fulfillment you can get from putting in more hours at home than at a job.
