Regarding the sunset picture I posted: I've had to laugh at the comments a little, because the picture I posted of the sunset on the Lake does not do the setting justice. There were mosquitoes e-v-e-r-y where, and we swatted and smooshed mosquitoes the entire time we were watching the sunset. Yes, we did enjoy it, but we sure didn't enjoy the mosquitoes! *grin* The mosquitoes up north could just about carry a body away!
Tomorrow (I hope!), I am going to finish getting plants in the ground! I have yet to plant my vegetable garden. I can't wait much longer, or it won't be worth it to plant anything! Watch out weeds, here I come!!!
I realize I'm not a mother, so I suppose I can't fully appreciate potty-training posts, but it just seems that every.single.blog I read that has a potty-trainee has full-blown descriptions of the progress. I just don't see the purpose. LOL Poor kids...no privacy at all!
I'm gearing up to be a better blogger and blog visitor! I've been so tired lately; physically and mentally. I have still been reading lots of blogs, but not commenting on many of them. I think I'm coming out of my slump though! I think our little vacation helped me feel so much better!
You may have noticed the drop-down menus in the side bar. Do you like them? I hope it makes things look a little less cluttered. I just had so many links running down the side of my blog, it seemed like so much to look through. Tell me what you think, and if you want to add them to your blog, you can find the code at flooble.com.
My afghan has been sadly neglected for a week or so. I picked it up last night and worked one lonely little row. I am not tired of the project, by any means. I guess I just needed a bit of a break. I've been knitting instead, on a gift. This time around I will post the pciture after it is gifted. *Smiles*
Everyone, have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh my goodness!!! Now I'm going to be on the computer all afternoon entering contests! LOL
Sorry you've had a bit of a slump - we all do now and then. I hope to see more of you soon . . .
Have a good weekend!
We all go through that slump sometimes.....But I have been missing you. (o;
Blessings,
~Mrs.B
Tammy ~ I've really been enjoying your vacation pictures ~ lovely! :o)
Do you all get black flies in Michigan? We had them in Maine. Nasty, biting little bugs drove my hubby nuts (but ignored me - yeah!)! Every bit as bad as mosquitoes - which snack on me and leave hubby alone. Go figure!
Regarding potty training - lol - I've not seen any of these posts (just lucky I guess), so I don't know how bad it is. But I will say it does have a way of *consuming* one's life. However, Junior or Missy probably is NOT going to want to be reading those blog posts when they're say 12 or 13 y.o. ~ lol! ;oD
Re: blogging slumps. I used to try to comment on every single post if I had taken off a week. Was I INSANE!? Now I realize I can only do what I can do. Love my blogging friends, but if you lived next door, I couldn't have you over every single night. In the same way, I may not make to every blog all the time. I'm rarely behind on reading, but often behind on comments! Now I just pick up where I left off (be it reading or commenting) and move on! :o) Less guilt - less stress - more blogging enjoyment! :o)
Love your drop down menus. They do cut back on template clutter don't they!
Re: afghan - I started to suggest perhaps you were less in the mood for yarn since it was summertime, but then I finished the paragraph and saw you're knitting ~ lol. So much for that theory! ;o)
Take care, sweetie. Enjoy your summertime veggie gardening! :o)
Tammy,
Love the drop downs also. You know I've been in a slump often lately. When you can go outside it is hard to stay in and work on afgans. Mine is sitting next to me just waiting.
Have a great week end.
Thanks so much for the link Tammy! :^D I appreciate it.
Hey Tammy, I was just looking at the flooble.com site last night. My site is driving me nuts. I love how the drop downs look. Right up my alley. I'm kicking myself for not getting Susie to do that for me when she did my blog. Drat! Anyway hopefully I'll figure it out and get tidied up myself!
Great job :)
Laura
Tammy,
Love the drop downs. I understand the slump. I'm trying to get so much done around here and I feel that blogging is a luxury, one that I don't afford myself often enough. I need to set aside time for it more, maybe after I finish deep cleaning the living room.
I thought of you when I was at Wal-Mart yesterday. They are in the middle of downsizing and are marking down over half of their yarn.
I can't wait to see your finished gift, you always make such great things.
Hi Tammy!!
I completely understand about not getting your garden started yet. It's been SOOO STINKING HOT here that Mr. U and I have just let our veggies sit in their containers!! They will surely die soon if we don't get them planted. I had REALLY been looking forward to tomatoes, but we might not get any from our garden this year.
I can't stand mosquitoes!!! They don't bite me, thankfully, but they do get all in my face and hair. YUCKO!!!!
I think your dropdowns look nice!!! Thank you for sharing about flooble, I've been wanting to play around a little on my blog!!
Oooh!! What are you knitting??? I can't wait to see!!
His,
Mrs. U
Thank you all for your nice comments! I appreciate them so much!
Jodi--we don't get black flies around our area, at least. I don't know about the rest of Michigan! =)
Hi Tammy,
I like the drop down menu. Thank you for including my blog.
Keep us updated on your garden. I know it is a bit late, but there are many, many things that you can plant this late and still get a good harvest. Besides, it is so much fun to keep planting and planning throughout the whole summer:)
