~Making my Bed~

I'm so excited! Today marks a three-month anniversary for me! I've been making my bed every morning for three whole months!

Now, maybe you already have the habit of making your bed every morning, but I had fallen out of the habit of making my bed. I listed this goal on my 101 List so that I could reestablish this habit.

Can I tell you, it's been so wonderful! I used to "make" the bed each night before getting in bed, and often had to "make" the bed over my husband who was already in bed. Kind of like the old adage, "You made your bed now lie in it". I know that's not what it means, but that's what I was doing!!

When I work on one thing at a time, I am prone to do better at it then if I try to improve my whole life! Plugging away at one thing at a time is so much easier on yourself!

Do you have a simple daily task that you put off too? Surely I’m not the only one out there! *Grin*

Congratulations on meeting your goal, Tammy!! I usually make my bed in the mornings but when I don't, I have to do the same thing as you...make the bed over a sleeping husband...too funny!
Have a great weekend!

Congratulations Tammy!

And the daily task I put off......taking my vitamin! Uugh!! I know I feel better when I take it but I am so hit-or-miss with it.

Hi Tammy!

I'm terrible about getting the mail out of the mailbox but letting it pile up for a few days. . . I have a real problem keeping the "paper beast" under control!

I'm also terrible about keeping up daily updates on my finances (like recording ATM transactions, etc.).

That's just to name a few habits that I haven't made routine!!

Oh Sister!!! Do I ever have things that I put off. Doing dishes at night (I tend to sit down and relax with hubby and kids to watch a movie and do the dishes in the morning), I made the bed every morning for a few weeks when we first moved here (but that didn't last...since my husband ends up going back to bed a lot of days), hmmmm....I think that is all that I can think of. Not as bad as I thought...although anything that is put off is bad isn't it? So see...you're not the only one.
