~Happy Saturday~

Hello! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

I dilly-dallied through my shopping this afternoon, and then my husband and I took our car to the shop. Work will begin on Monday. I'd show you a picture, but it's not very beautiful, it wouldn't go with the above picture at all. ;-) Maybe later.

We had company last night, and had a lot of fun. My menu was very, very simple: sloppy joes, chips, and soda. We had two couples over from church, one brought a fruit salad, and the other brought chocolate chip cookies. I normally don't do such simple meals when having company, but I have to tell you, it was so much easier, and less stressful on my part!

We played two games: the Last Word (I got mine at Meijer for only $14), and Balderdash. I won Balderdash by a landslide, but was way behind in the Last Word. Both are word games, but I'm far better at making up definitions than blurting out words!

There are still patches of snow about, but thankfully most of it has melted. My tulips are still growing! I'm waiting to see what one of the bulbs I planted looks like, because I thought I was getting the same thing my next door neighbor has, and they don't look anything alike! I'm so ready for warmer weather! I sincerely hope it doesn't snow any more this spring!

I think I'm going to go get some sewing done! I have several projects that I've been putting off, and tonight seems like a good time to get cracking on them!

Have a great day, and a blessed Sunday!

I'm glad your tulips are still growing! We had a major frost here (SC) last weekend that killed all my flowers....so now I'm wondering if I'll get to see my glads or my day lilies this year because they were already up. Oh well!

Have fun sewing!

My tulips are still growing even with the snow Wednesday. The day Lilies are doing just fine.I really don't think anything can kill them. I have tried to cut down on their number but haven't been able to.

I think it's a welcome change to have homecooking for company. I definitely welcome it. Everyone can just sit back and enjoy the evening.

I have to admit I often dilly dally during my shopping lately, it's become a sort of relaxation for me....LOL I never thought I'd say that. I used to be super fast and be done and home within a half an hour, for a full weeks shopping, but now I go to several stores and meander thru the aisles wistfully...........

Oh, and my tulip tops are still coming along! I'm SO pleased it's ridiculous..haha I can't wait to see them in all their glory. It's finally hitting 50 today and it seems so warm I have the windows open a little bit. Now that's funny!

It's supposed to be in the 60's this weekend and I will plant whatever of my seedlings are still alive. Some have died, some look bad but I could not plant them when they arrived since the weather was so harsh. I have some hydrangeas and scarlet bee balm to attract butterflies. ;-)

I enjoyed all these comments!

Rebecca, I'm surprised the daffs were killed off. Mine bloomed before the snow storms we got, and lasted all through out. Now I need to go out and trim a few of them off.

Joyce, day lilies are the hardest things to get rid of! LOL I dug all mine out last summer, and they are still coming up! Grrr.
