~Knitting~

Yesterday I posted about knitting, and how it isn't hard. It isn't, really. There are complicated patterns, yes. It takes a bit to get your hands used to the motions, yes. But when all is said and done, it doesn't take long to learn. In knitting, there are two stitches: knit and purl. Once you have those two stitches down, then the world of knitting opens up to you!

I don't want to make myself sound like a pro, either. The scarf my husband wanted me to make? It took me three years. Obviously I wasn't working on it diligently! I have been actively knitting for over a year now. I've made three pairs of socks, and I'm working on a sweater.

Oh, and Annecourager asked whether knitting is the same for left-handed people. I have read several places that you knit the same no matter what. Knitting involves two hands, so nothing changes for the left-handed knitter. At least, that's what I've read!

I'm a lefty and I learned to crochet and knit from my Grandma and Mom who are both righties...I find it feels natural, as you use both hands anyway. fwiw :)
