"The Bomb" Butter Rolls

Here is the roll recipe that is just so fantastic!

The dough is made in a breadmaker.

Put ingredients in order listed, or in order recommended by your bread machine. Put on "dough" cycle. When dough cycle has completed, shape into rolls, squeezing bubbles out. Spray tops of rolls lightly with non-stick spray so they don't dry out as they rise. Let rise for 20 minutes. Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes. Brush tops with butter after baking.

*I used regular flour.
**I used a packet of yeast.

Other notes: My oven is hot, so I bake them at 350* for 15 minutes. Don't overbake--you don't want the tops and sides to be hard.

Ummm... I don't see the recipe. I see instructions on what to do once the dough has come out of the machine, but no listing of ingredients. Is it just me and my computer? :-S

Oh yum, these look GREAT!!! Do I melt the butter first? Or just let it softened?

Tori, it seems as if you could make it without the bread machine, but it would probably be easier to follow a recipe that wasn't intended for a bread machine.

yay, yay, yay. Breadmaker dough comes out right for me!!

Thanks for posting it. I have to plan 4 days of meals for a crew of 20 coming up to WA state to help our friends get their church started in Federal Way--and one of the meals is a "Main Dish Salad Night" with a side of rolls and butter. :) This'll be the recipe I use.

Oops, forgot to ask. When you run the machine, does it use a two-rise cycle? Or do you just have one rise, and then let it rise after you've shaped the dough into balls?

Yay, Anne! I'm glad you can use it! You'll probably want more than one batch! When we had your BIL and family over (on the 4th) there were two rolls left over!

Arlene, I believe that it rises once in the breadmaker, and then the second time is after you shape them. My bread machine doesn't have those options though--I just choose "dough". I'm pretty sure it's just one rise cycle though.

Tammy, I made these tonight. YUM!! The only difference was that I didn't fully read the directions.. ahem... I let the rolls rise for 1 hour (I have another favorite roll recipe that rises for an hour) and, well, they were large. VERY large. And INCREIDLBY good!!
