~Comments~

After receiving several unkind anonymous comments, I have decided to disable anonymous comments. If you do not have a blog, and would like to post a comment on my blog, or someone else's blog, you can set up an account with Blogger, without setting up a blog. It's simple. If you need help setting up an account, send me an e-mail, and I'll be glad to help you.

I can take constructive criticism, but attacks on my character are not appreciated.

To my anonymous commentor today: a blog is a web log. It is an online journal. Of course I'm going to be talking about myself. If I had a paper journal, I would write about myself too. I initially started this blog to keep my family and personal friends up to date with my daily life. However, I realize many others besides my family and friends now visit my blog, and I'm absolutely delighted with the many ladies who comment here and have become my friends.

Specifically in response to the comment today, my post regarding the children's books was not meant to puff myself up. Rather, I was sharing a teaching tool, and shared how I have been able to use it.

This blog *is* about me. Just look at the blog title! *Smiles*

Good move Tammy!

A blog should be fun, not something where perfect strangers feel entitled to hurl criticism your way.

I love reading your blog and hearing about you and your family and home! I'm sure you are just as sweet in real life as you are on your blog. Keep up the great work!

Good grief! I'm sorry you've gotten negative comments. I get them sometimes too. Once, someone told me that I don't eat healthy foods! LOL They can buy my food for me if they like, that way they can make sure I'm eating healthy! ;)

Hang in there! I don't blame you for taking off anonymous comments.

Congratulations! You are now an "offical" blogger! I think anyone who blogs long enough and dares to express any kind of opinion or *gasp* writes about herself ends up receiving "feedback" from "well meaning" readers. It is part and parcel with the blogging territory. I still cannot fathom why people think they can tell you how and when and why you should blog. It really blows my mind at times that total strangers think they have the right to tell you what you can and can't do on your blog. Anyway, now you are an "official" member of the blogging sisterhood! :-)

Isn't it interesting that comments like that are usually anonymous? Sad that they don't have the guts to reveal who they are, but don't mind trampling other people's feelings.

Sorry to hear about your anonymous comment. I had a pretty nasty one myself this morning concerning us carrying our baby to term despite knowing he/she will die within moments-hours after birth. This is only 1 of many like this. I've just learned to delete, pray and go on.

I've enjoyed your blog, so keep on going an ignore the bad comments. Unfortunately it come with the territory!

Oh, I forgot to mention. I've got my comment set where I have to approve them. That way I can delete any that are not worth posting :)

Happens over at my blog too. And, those comments are always "anonymous" and I just delete them! It is sad that some people get such fun out of hurting others.

Have a good day regardless :)

Ladies, thanks for the sweet uplifting comments.

Susan, that is too funny about the food. I laughed about that one, although it's kind of sad that a stranger should think it appropriate to dictate your diet! LOL

Sallie, so that's the initiation, huh? Hehe...

Susan, I cannot imagine the depth of pain you have just knowing about your unborn child, and then to have strangers leave nasty comments. VERY pathetic, if you ask me! By the way, when you come to my mind, I have been praying for you!

So sorry to hear about the bad anonymous comments you got. You & the other bloggers on here seem like such nice & Godly ladies. I feel like I'm over for tea or something reading your blogs. Just said a prayer for the lady on here with the unborn baby. May God be with you & the other bloggers today...

Oh, Tammy, I'm sorry you have to deal with those sorts of comments... I haven't been on blogger long enough to get any comments (lol) but I've been reading your blog for a while, and do enjoy reading about *YOU* since it is YOUR blog, you know ;) As Cheryl said, I feel like we're visiting when I read your blog; I'm glad to have some new friends in the blogworld :~) Keep on posting, and I'll keep reading (and I'll leave nice comments, I promise, hehehe)
