Rebecca e-mailed me on Friday and asked if we had a busy weekend. "No," I said, "I'm going to sleep in, but other than that, we don't have plans."
Well, that's what I thought.
We decided to do a little home improvement today. Our flower bed borders were wood, and were quite rotted away.

In progress:
The herbs Holly bought for me:
And the flowers that will be going in the beds once we get them finished:
They match the geraniums perfectly!

looks good! we did a lot of work today too. We got some dirt and filled in the flower bed area in the front. we are probably going to work on the flower beds in the back next summer. =) plus John and Josh put in a vent from the bathrom through the roof (like it should've been!). And we pulled the carpet out of the living room. We have some pictures to post. Next weekend I'm painting...I feel crazy.
Looks beautiful Tammy! :)
Looks so pretty. The new border really makes a difference! Your porch looks gorgeous.
I love the new border for your beds!! It looks so much neater and nicer. I also love the flowers!!
Wow, the new border looks FANTASTIC!!
And thanks so much for the pictures....I gleaned a great idea from you. I have always wanted a small herb garden and I love how you planted yours in a long rectangle shaped planter. What a great idea! Thanks! (o;
Beautiful change! A worthwhile Saturday accomplishment for sure!
I like what you have chosen to be the new border to your flower bed! I can't wait to see the finished product. The pink flowers look beautiful too! I just love gardening :-)
I love the new border and all those flowers! After we get back from Texas, I'm going to work on our back yard. I still have my birthday gift card to spend! ;)
Everything looks so beautiful! That salmon colour is my favourite for impatiens.
Love the new stone border! I want an herb garden this year myself. They are too expensive at the supermarket....hehe!
Have fun,
Jenn
Love it Tammy!! I did yard work yesterday also. It wasn't near as fun as yours was, I'm sure. We racked pineneedles from YEARS and YEARS of never being racked and we still aren't finished. Our backyard is BIG!!! Not sure when I'll get to the rest.
Mrs. B--I can't take any credit for the herb garden. =) My sister bought everything regarding it, and planted it for me! I'm looking forward to using the herbs this summer though!
Susan, have fun spending your gift card! I had so much fun picking out all these flowers!
And to everyone else, thank you! We still have a LOT of work left before we're done. My shovel-using muscles are going to be sore! LOL
Your garden is very pretty. :o)
